Rice ‘n’ Beans were formed by Mark Archer and Peter Napthine in Rio de
Janeiro in 2007. Their debut CD was
launched in September 2009 and contains 14 original compositions by the

- Living in the fast lane (CD)
Melodic, contemporary, acoustic rock sound with a rich sense of mood
and atmosphere, drawing from roots in folk, rock, jazz and pop, influenced by
the Beatles, Dylan, Richard Thompson, Tracy Chapman, Van Morrison. Launched in 2000, Peter’s first
studio-recorded album contains 12 original compositions. A number of top Brazilian musicians
contribute to give the album a variety of moods and styles ranging from the
emotive acoustic folk touch to the depth of the full rock band sound.
